Facts and figures

  • In 2016 a total of 72.000 students attended one of the Danish university colleges.
  • The university colleges cooperate with educational institutions all over the world in order to create and maintain a high level of international profiling. This includes exchange of students, research based collaboration, procurement of educational courses as well as training stays for teachers.
  • Out of the 91.832 young people applying for a higher education in Denmark in 2017, 35 % applied for a university college. This makes the university college sector the second largest educational sector in Denmark, only exceeded by the Danish university sector that additionally offers master’s programs.
